A big part of our job is to document major milestones for our clients. Every wedding we photograph is an honor, and being asked to be involved so closely in such a momentous day in anyone’s life is something we don’t take lightly.
When wedding couples call us back to ask if we would take their maternity and family pictures, we jump at the chance to catch up with old friends, and once again feel privileged to make memories of the things that matter.
These are a couple of the families that we got to catch up with in the last few months, and I thought it would be fun to put together some older and newer images, to appreciate the journeys.
We watched the weather carefully as this session approached, and got so lucky with this beautiful day! The brisk wind just added some fun tousled hair to a few images.
Loren and Joe were natural models, and I couldn’t believe how many great images we made in such a short time. This was a tough shoot for me to pare down and edit. Some of our couples have to warm up to the experience of being in front of the camera, and it can take a few minutes to relax and smile without thinking (ask Ashley and she’ll tell you I am the poster child being awkward and self conscious in pictures). Not so with this couple. Loren and Joe rocked the session from the get-go with fun and smiles and a willingness to hike all over the Notre Dame campus.
Not only did the session go great, but a long walk in the sunshine is a perfect setting for getting to know our clients a little bit before the wedding day. Love our walks through Notre Dame on photoshoots, especially in the fall.
This beautiful couple were a pleasure to work with, and invited some of the craziest-awesome guests to share their wedding day! Ashley and I had a blast taking turns manning the photobooth that we set up in the mezzanine, where the fun never stopped. So many hilarious moments up above, and quite the party down below. Congratulations you two!
This was also our first reception at the brick, and I can’t wait to go back. It was a wonderful and dramatic setting, and the staff were very accommodating. They have since flattered us by liberally using our images for promotion and general bragging, which is wonderful. We are proud to be on their list of preferred vendors.
